Edoardo Mortara is the winner of the DTM race 1 at Hungaroring in which he was followed by other five Audi drivers.

Audi dominated the qualifying session. The Ingolstadters occupied four front rows, with Edoardo Mortara and Jamie Green at the top of the pack. Felix Rosenqvist at 9th was the best-placed Mercedes driver while Marco Wittmann was the fastest BMW driver at 10th position.

After the start, Wittmann moved up to the 7th place profiting from the Mattias Ekstrom’s spinning after contact with Maxime Martin. Robert Wickens did a great job moving up to the 10th after he has started from 17th position. At the top, Mortara and Green were in the battle of their own while the other Audis had a role in keeping Wittmann and Wickens far from the top.

Jamie Green finished 2nd at Hungaroring

After 15 minutes or so it was obvious that only some technical troubles can stop Mortara of scoring his fourth win of the season and seventh in his DTM career. Green finished 2nd, only a 1 second behind the winner, while Miguel Molina completed the all-Audi podium in Hungary. Championship leader Wittmann finished 7th and his advantage in the standings is now only 14 points.
