Another easy win for Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton is the winner of 2016 German Grand Prix what is his sixth win in 2016 Formula 1 World Championship. Mercedes driver took the lead right after the start and easily secured a victory at Hockenheimring.
Nico Rosberg just as so many times before wasted his pole position. After another disastrous start, the German dropped to fourth place, leaving Lewis Hamilton to take the lead while Verstappen and Ricciardo moved up to second and third respectively.
Nothing has changed after the first pit-stop. Hamilton looked confident and was much faster than his rivals. Red Bulls did well to hold Rosberg off, while Ferraris weren’t able to follow the pace of front four.
After the second pit-stop, Rosberg did well to overtake Verstappen who was careless in one moment and allowed Mercedes driver to go clear forward. Nevertheless, the German was penalized with 5 seconds after stewards assessed that Rosberg forced Verstappen to go off the track and that looked like a harsh decision. In the same time, Ricciardo worked well and he managed to keep second place.
After another pit-stop, almost nothing has changed. Closing stages of the race were almost boring when it comes to the top of the order, but in the middle thing were more interesting. Force India and McLaren were battling for the points and light rain spiced up their efforts.
At the end, Hamilton was well ahead of Ricciardo and Verstappen, while Rosberg is surely disappointed with the fourth place. Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen finished 5th and 6th respectively while the remaining points were scored by Nico Hulkenberg, Jenson Button, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez.
