Rosberg grabs pole position at Hockenheimring

Mercedes drivers were absolutely dominant during qualifying for the Formula 1 German Grand Prix at Hockenheimring and Nico Rosberg won the pole position in front of Lewis Hamilton.

The reigning champion was the fastest in the first qualifying round, scoring a lap time 1:15.243, while from the second round were eliminated both Sauber’s and both Manor’s cars, as well Renault’s Kevin Magnussen and Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat who is, according to the reports from Russia, driving his last year in Formula 1.

In Q2, the reigning champion again was one to beat.
