Kyle Busch finally wins at Kansas Speedway
Kyle Busch catches his ninth season’s victory in all three NASCAR national series and his first ever win in Kansas. Busch win in the GoBowling 400 and finally reached the Victory Lane at Kansas Speedway after seventeen attempts at 1.5-mile track. Busch has now won at all active Sprint Cup tracks except Charlotte Motor Speedway and Pocono Raceway. This is Kyle’s third Sprint Cup victory in 2016 and 37th in a career.
Busch took the lead on Lap 231 of 267 and survived two more restarts as the leader, to win ahead of Kevin Harvick by 1.112 seconds. The tragic figure of the race was Martin Truex Jr., who led for 172 laps but had to pit on Lap 215 because of a loose wheel.
Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth and rookie Ryan Blaney completed the Top 5. It was a career-best finish for 22-year-old Blaney. Austin Dillon came home sixth, ahead of Ryan Newman, AJ Allmendinger, Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski.
