Jamie Whincup and Paul Dumbrell are the winners of the second race at the Gold Coast 600 event at Surfers Paradise Street Circuit. It’s second in a row victory for Red Bull Australia’s Holdens, after Shane van Gisbergen and Alexandre Premat won yesterday. Today, SVG and his French teammate finished second, nine seconds behind the #8 Holden. For Whincup, this was 101st V8 Supercars victory and his eighth at Surfers Paradise Street Circuit.

Volvo’s Scott McLaughlin finished on the podium again, together with David Wall. McLaughlin defended P3 against attacks of Craig Lowndes in the closing laps. Two Fords of Winterbottom/Canto and Mostert/Owen finished on P5 and P5. The best-placed Nissan was the #9 of Michael Caruso and Dean Fiore on P9.

After four races, Van Gisbergen and Premat became the winners of the Pirtek Enduro Cup. Van Gisbergen also remained in the championship lead, 148 points ahead of Whincup. The next race is Auckland SuperSprint at New Zealand’s Pukehoke Park Raceway on November 5-6.
