Audi Sport TT Cup: Frank Stippler wins Race of Legends
The Race of Legends at Hockenheimring closes the third season of the Audi Sport TT Cup. Sixteen famous drivers fought against each other in the identical 340-hp Audi TTs but the main goal was not to win the race but to collect funds for a good cause. A donation total of 25,000 euros was collected for the SLK Clinic for pediatric and youth medicine in Heilbronn.
The race winner was Frank Stippler, ahead of Lucas di Grassi and Marcel Fassler. Other competitors were Christian Abt, Filipe Albuquerque, Frank Biela, Dindo Capello, Rahel Frey, Jean-Marc Gounon, Tom Kristensen, Lucas Luhr, Stephane Ortelli, Emanuele Pirro, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Marco Werner and Vanina Ickx.
“That was a worthy farewell to our one-make cup. On a dream weekend for Audi in the DTM and in the Audi Sport TT Cup, we have said goodbye to the one-make cup in style and have combined the Race of Legends with a good cause. I would like to sincerely thank our fans and the legends for the breathtaking atmosphere this weekend,” said Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing.
