Blancpain GT Series: Endurance Cup title for Bortolotti, Engelhart, Caldarelli
GRT Grasser Racing Team‘s Mirko Bortolotti, Christian Engelhart and Andrea Caldarelli are the winners of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup for 2017. A trio in the #63 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 finished third in the season’s finale at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Third place was enough for Bortolotti, Engelhart and Caldarelli to be crowned as the new champions because their main rivals, Vincent Abril, Maxime Soulet and Andy Soucek, had to retire halfway through the race in the #8 M-Sport Bentley Continental GT. Engelhart and Bortolotti are also the overall winners of the 2017 Blancpain GT Series.
The victory in Barcelona went to the #88 Akka ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Felix Serralles, Tristan Vautier and Dani Juncadella. The second-placed car was the #17 Team WRT Audi R8 LMS, driven by Robin Frijns, Stuart Leonard and Jake Dennis.
