Joel Eriksson (Motopark) wins the second race of the season-opening FIA Formula 3 European Championship weekend at Silverstone. The 18-year-old Swedish racer, who was the rookie of the year in the last year’s F3 European Championship, captured his first win of the season afer a clever move in the opening lap, overtaking pole-sitter Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam). In the rest of the race, the positions remained unchanged. After 19 laps, Jake Hughes (Hitech Grand Prix) completed the podium.

The winner of the Friday’s race Lando Norris had a bad start from P2, dropping to 8th place. At the end, he finished ninth. Other points scorers are Maximilian Gunther (Prema Powerteam, 4th), Jake Dennis (Carlin, 5th), Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam, 6th), Guanyu Zhou (Prema Powerteam, 7th), Jehan Daruvala (Carlin, 8th) and Harrison Newey (Van Amersfoort Racing, 10th).

One more F3 race at Silverstone is scheduled for tomorrow, at 9.00 local time.
