Ferrari Challenge Europe at Monza - Day 1 report

Daniele Di Amato, Martin Nelson, and Erich Prinoth are the winners of the races held during the first day of Ferrari Challenge Europe at Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

Trofeo Pirelli

Daniele Di Amato started from pole position and managed to keep the lead. The Italian of CDP team was absolutely dominant in the opening race of the weekend and won the race with a margin of 22.1s to the 2nd-placed Sam Smeeth who was able to resist attacks of Alessandro Vezzoni.

In the Trofeo Pirelli-AM class the winner was Martin Nelson, in front of Tommaso Rocca and Jens Liebhauser.

Coppa Shell

Erich Prinoth scored first win of the season. After the relatively poor performances during the first round in Valencia, the Ineco – MP Racing driver triumphed at legendary Monza circuit by a small margin to Christophe Turni. Eric Cheung completed the podium finishing 2.4s behind a winner.
