Porsche Carrera Cup Germany: Ten Voorde triumphs in Nürburgring's race 2

Larry ten Voorde (Team Deutsche Post by Project 1) wins the second race of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany weekend at Nürburgring after a fantastic figth against yesterday’s winner Thomas Preining (Konrad Motorsport) at wet track.

In the race which started behind the Safety Car thirty-three cars were on the grid in a combination of two competitions (Porsche Sports Cup and Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland). Yesterday’s overall winner Jurgen Haring was at the front but he made a mistake in the opening lap adn dropped to P16, eventually finishing in the 12th place.

Thomas Preining inheritead a lead, followed by Larry ten Voorde. Between laps 9 and 11, they change in the lead for five times. Preining’s mistake on lap 11 gave more space to the Dutchman and he won the race with comfortable advantage. The Swedish driver Henric Skoog (Huber Racing) finished in the third place of PCCD classification, same as in Saturday’s race.

The Porsche Carrera Cup Germany will return to Nürburgring for the sixth round in September.
