Manthey Racing triumphs at Rowe 6 Hours ADAC Ruhr-Pokal race

Manthey Racing’s Romain Dumas, Kevin Estre and Mathieu Jaminet are the winners of the Rowe 6 Hours ADAC Ruhr-Pokal race at Nürburgring, the fifth round of the 2017 VLN Endurance Series (Langstrecken Meisterschaft Nürburgring). The trio in the #911 Porsche 911 GT3 R captured third win for Manthey Racing in this season’s five races.

The ADAC Ruhr-Pokal is the only 6-hour race on the VLN calendar, together with eight 4-hour events. Today’s triumph is 13th victory for Porsche in that 6-hour race.

After six hours of racing in the changeable weather conditions at 24,358 meters long track, only five crews ended a race in the same lap. The #4 Falken Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, which started from pole, finished in the second place. The drivers were Martin Ragginger and Klaus Bachler.

Frank Stippler and Peter Terting completed a podium in the #15 Phoenix Racing Audi R8 LMS, ahead of #8 Haribo Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Renger van der Zande, Edward Sandström and Luca Stolz. One more Porsche, the #31 car of Frikadelli Racing team, finishedin the fifth place, driven by Norbert Siedler and Alexander Müller.
