Fuoco wins in Monaco, Norris extends F2 Championship lead
Antonio Fuoco (Charouz Racing System) scored his second Formula 2 victory in a career today at the streets of Monte-Carlo. After finishing 8th in yesterday’s Feature Race, Fuoco started today’s Sprint Race from pole position on the reversed grid and converted it into victory.
The championship leader Lando Norris (Carlin) finished in the second place and extended the lead after eight races in the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship season. Louis Deletraz doubled up the celebration for Charouz Racing System by finishing in the third place.
Fuoco crossed the finish line behind the Safety Car. It was the third SC period in the race, plus two Virtual Safety Cars, because of many crashes. Just ten drivers of nineteen starters finished the race.
