Johan Kristoffersson ended his fantastic championship-winning season in the FIA World Rallycross Championship with the eleventh victory in twelve rounds by winning the final round at South African Killarney International Raceway. Although he secured the title in the tenth round in September at Circuit of the Americas, Kristoffersson added two more wins in the last two rounds to his account, increasing a total number of wins to twenty.

The 29-year-old Swede in the #1 Volkswagen Polo Supercar of PSRX Volkswagen Sweden concludes the season of his absolute domination with a comfortable win ahead of Mattias Ekstrom (EKS Audi Sport) and Sebastien Loeb (Team Peugeot Total).

The second-place finish secured the second place in the championship for Ekstrom, who came to South Africa closely in the points with his teammate Andreas Bakkerud. After four qualifying heats, Bakkerud was better than Ekstrom in the intermediate classification but he didn’t manage to enter the Final, losing a battle for P2 in the championship.

Together with Kristoffersson, Ekstrom and Loeb, the other finalists were Kevin Hansen (Peugeot, 4th), Petter Solberg (Volkswagen, 5th) and Timmy Hansen (Peugeot, 6th). Eighteen drivers participated in the last round of the championship.
