Emil Frey Racing’s Giacomo Altoe and Albert Costa are the International GT Open champions for 2019. The duo in the #63 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo recorded two fourth-place finishes in two races of the season’s finale at Autodromo Monza, what was enough for them to celebrate the championship title after seven rounds and fourteen races in 2019.

They were race winners three times over the season, adding two podiums on their account and collecting 128 points in total, twelve more than two other crews – Emil Frey Racing’s Mikael Grenier/Norbert Siedler and Teo Martin Motorsport’s Martin Kodrić/Henrique Chaves.

Kodrić and Chaves are the winners of the last race of the season after they recorded five podiums in the #59 McLaren 720S GT3 earlier this year. Teo Martin Motorsport celebrated 1-2 victory in the last race because Fran Rueda and Andres Saravia finished second in the #17 McLaren. Mikael Grenier and Norbert Siedler completed the podium.

In the first race of the weekend, SPS Automotive Performance’s Fabrizio Crestani and Miguel Ramos clinched their first win of the season in the #10 Mercedes-AMG GT3. They were joined on the podium by Loris Spinelli/Riccardo Agostini (Antonelli Motorsport Mercedes) and Darren Turner/Ollie Wilkinson (Optimum Motorsport Aston Martin).

The champions of the Pro-Am class are Tom Onslow-Cole and Valentin Pierburg, who were sharing the #20 Mercedes-AMG GT3 of SPS Automotive Performance. The Am class champion is Antonelli Motorsport’s Giuseppe Cipriani.
