Joey Logano wins the Pennzoil 400 in this year’s first visit of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The defending Cup Series champion in the #22 Ford Mustang held off his Team Penske teammate Brad Keselowski for his 22nd Cup Series victory in a career.

NASCAR’s weekend at Las Vegas was also marked by two wins of Kyle Busch in other two divisions. First, he won in the Truck Series race Strat 200 and then triumphed again in the Xfinity Series race Boyd Gaming 300. He’s now on 197 victories in all three NASCAR national divisions.

Logano clinched his first victory in Las Vegas after a close fight against Brad Keselowski, who had a huge run through Turns 3 and 4 on the final lap, but Logano was able to clear his teammate off the final corner.

Logano led for 86 laps during the race, second only to Harvick’s 88. With the race running green except for the stage breaks, 18 cars finished on the lead lap. Kyle Busch recovered from a pit road speeding penalty to run third, staying short of a clean sweep at Las Vegas.

Next, he led most laps in the Boyd Gaming 300, the Xfinity Series race, to gain a victory in the #18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota. It was his 93rd Xfinity Series victory.

The next NASCAR meeting is scheduled for the next weekend at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona, where Cup Series and Xfinity Series will have races.
