Andreas Bakkerud (Monster Energy RX Cartel Audi S1) scored his seventh FIA World Rallycross Championship victory today at Circuit Trois-Rivieres in Canada. The victory in the seventh round of the season is not only first win for Bakkerud this year but his first win since the last round of the 2016 season in Argentina.

Bakkerud shared the Canadian podium with Janis Baumanis (Team STARD Ford Fiesta) and Timur Timerzyanov (GRX Taneco Hyundai i20). Guerlain Chicherit (GC Kompetition Renault Megane) finished the Final race in the fourth place, what is his best World RX result.

The other two finalists were Anton Marklund (GCK Megane) and Kevin Hansen (Team Hansen MJP Peugeot 208), both not finishing the race after they crashed.

Sixteen drivers participated in the Canadian round of the championship. Three more rounds are on the calendar, the first would be in Loheac, France, on August 31/September 1.
