24 Hours Series: Belgian Audi Club Team WRT wins season opener in Dubai
The 24 Hours Series season has started with a race in Dubai, and the winner of the opening event is the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, which is the first victory for the Ingolstadt-based manufacturer in Dubai.

Behind the wheel of an Audi R8 LMS, drivers Alain Ferte, Michael Meadows, Stuart Leonard and Laurens Vanthoor, clinched the victory in the opening race of the season after leading most of the time in a very intensive event and 22 changes at the top of the grid. After a couple of collisions and accidents, the race was stopped several times and, interestingly, in order to avoid potential further collisions during this and several other races of the 24 Hours Series, #11 Scuderia Praha will not be able to join from the next round on.
The winning team was six laps ahead of the second-placed Black Falcon #16 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 with drivers Abdulaziz al Faisal, Oliver Webb, Adam Christodoulou, Oliver Morley and Frank Montecalvo, while third place was won by C.ABT Racing with Audi R8 LMS and Christer Jons, Andreas Weishaupt, Isaac Tutumlu Lopez, Matias Henkota and Daniel Abt as drivers.
The A6-Am class winner is Hofor Racing’s Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 #10, winner in 991 class is Lechner Racing Middle East team, you can find the full results and standings by class in the SnapLap results section.
Next race of the 24 Hours Series will be held in Italy, at Mugello circuit, on 18th and 19th of March.
