24H Series: Ram Racing wins 24 Hours of Paul Ricard

Ram Racing finally achieved a victory in 2015 24H Series season. After three second places (24h Dubai, 12h Mugello and 12h Zandvoort) British team made a well deserved victory at 24 Hours of Paul Ricard. Drivers in victoriuos #30 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 were Tom Onslow-Cole, Paul White, Adam Christodoulou and Thomas Jäger.

 

Winning team made 586 laps around 5842 metres long circuit in south France, two laps more than second placed #7 Porsche 997 GT3 R of HB Racing Team Herberth. Drivers of that car were Daniel Allemann, Herbert Handlos, Lukas Schreier, Alfred Renauer and Nicolas Armindo.

 

Third placed crew of HP Racing in #2 Mercedes-Benz SLS made 574 laps. Five drivers of HP Racing which deserved third podium place were Jeroen Bleekemolen, Hari Proczyk, Reinhold Renger, Reinhard Kofler and Carsten Tilke. Czech team Scuderia Praha lost lots of time at the beginning of the race and until the end recovered to the fourth place overall. Drivers in Scuderia Praha’s #4 Ferrari 458 Italia were Matteo Malucelli, Peter Kox, Jiri Pisarik and Jaromir Jirik.

Fifth overall and the winner of 997 class is #17 Porsche 991 Cup of French team Ruffier Racing. Drivers in winning Porsche were Patrice Lafargue, Paul Lafargue, Gabriel Abergel and Dimitri Enjalbert. All-French crew achieved comfortable win, five laps ahead second placed #55 Porsche of Crubile Sport. Third in 997 class (9th overall) are #77 Porsche of GDL Racing.

 

Two MARC Cars Australia crews were the best in SP2 class, with good overall results. Number 92 MARC Focus V8 was 8th overall and number 93 MARC Mazda 3 V8 was 11th overall. One more MARC Mazda 3 V8 deserved the podium, the one of Dutch team Red Camel-Jordans.nl. Fourth in SP2 class was attractive Lamborghini Huracan of Leipert Motorsport.

There were five more different classes, some with only three cars and some with ten cars and highly intense competition until the end. In A2 class gap between winner and second placed team is just one lap. After 24 hours of racing winner is #112 Renault Clio Cup of Swiss team Presenza.eu Racing Team Clio ahead #122 Renault Clio of French team Autosport GP.

 

Winner of A3T class is Team Altran with #208 Peugeot 208 GTi ahead #98 Seat Leon Cup Racer of  NKPP Racing. Class SP3 winner is #206 Ginetta G50 GT4 of Nova Race. Hofor-Kuepper Racing’s BMW E46 M3 Coupe wins Class A5. There were just three cars in BMW M235i Racing Cup, the winner is #67 BMW of Team Securtal Sorg Rennsport.

 

Next race of 24H Series will be 24 Hours of Barcelona in September.
