There is no summer vacation for young contestants of ADAC F4 Championship. They will have two racing events in August, first is scheduled for this weekend at Nürburgring. It was fifth round in 8-rounds championship.

More than 40 drivers competed so far in ADAC F4 Championship, with large international presence. Championship leader is Swede Joel Eriksson (Motopark), four points ahead Australian Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort Racing). Third overall is German talent Marvin Dienst (HTP Junior Team). Leader in the Rookie class is Mike Ortmann (Mücke Motorsport), ahead Jonathan Cecotto (Motopark). Michael Schumacher’s son Mick is 6th in Rookie standings and 15th overall.

For three Nürburgring races there are some new names at entry list. For the first time in F4 will compete Canadian Kami Laliberte (Van Amersfoort Racing), Swiss Nico Rindlisbacher (Jenzer Motorsport) and Brasilian Giuliano Raucci (Prema Powerteam). All competitors have the same car – Tatuus single-seaters powered by the Abarth T-Jet engine with 160 hp.

The race weekend in the Eifel will have a special significance for Timo Scheider. 20 years ago at the Nürburgring, he completed his first laps as a budding young Formula driver. Now, the two-time DTM Champion is standing on the other side of the pit wall as principal of his own team. For many years now, Scheider has been helping to foster the talent of the next generation of German drivers, and ADAC Formula 4 provides the perfect platform. Scheider’s outfit certainly won’t have a long way to travel for the fifth race weekend of the 2015 campaign: the team is based in the small town of Polch, just a 30-minute drive from the Nürburgring. Scheider’s drivers at Nürburgring will be Jason Kremer and Mauro Auricchio.

The weekend program includes two free practice sessions on Friday (August 14th) at 10.20 and 12.50, plus two qualifying sessions (17.15 and 17.40).  On Saturday there will be two races, at noon and at 16.45. On Sunday is scheduled the third and final race at 13.35. Racing programme at Nürburgring also include two ADAC GT Masters races.
