ADAC F4: One more victory for Joel Eriksson

Swedish driver Joel Eriksson (Motopark) was once again fastest at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, in second race of ADAC F4 Championship. After Saturday’s victory from pole to finish Eriksson today have few drivers in front of him at starting grid.

 

Pole sitter Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort) was stuck and didn’t start, so Tim Zimmerman (Neuhauser Racing) took the lead ahead Erikkson. Safety car was out in first lap, because Job Van Uitert and David Beckmann stopped on the track. After restart Eriksson overtook the lead and stayed in front till the chequered flag.

 

At the half of 30-minutes race safety car was out again, because Mawson spun out and parked behind the track. Eriksson and Zimmerman was still first and  second. Third was Michael Waldherr (Motopark), but he lost two positions in battle with Marvin Dienst (HTP Junior Team) and Mattia Drudi (SMG).

 

Third safety car period was caused by accident beetwen Thomas Preining (Mucke Motorsport) and Mick Schumacher (Van Amersfoort). Young Schumi crashed at the barrier on the start-finish straight and few minutes after race was red-flagged.
