ADAC GT Masters 2016 calendar confirmed
The ADAC GT Masters 2016 season will have only seven rounds, which is one round less than those in this season.
The new season will kick-off at Oschersleben in April, while the last two rounds are scheduled for the first weekend in October at Hockenheim, just like it was in 2015. Races at Spa-Francorchamps are not planned for 2016, which is why we will see only seven rounds. The races at the Red Bull Ring and Zandvoort will be the only ones outside Germany.
Another interesting fact is that the ADAC GT Masters will unite with DTM for one round. The two most popular German series will unite forces in June at Lausitzring for the first time since 2008.
Many new, spectacular cars like the Mercedes AMG GT3, BMW M6 GT3 and new models of Audi R8, Porsche 911 and Corvette will be eligible to enter the ADAC GT Masters next year and make the series even more interesting.
“A superb race calendar with the joint ADAC GT Masters and DTM will be the highlight at Lausitzring. Furthermore, with a prize money which sets a new record in ADAC GT Masters , this will definitely be a worthy tenth anniversary season,” said ADAC Sport President Hermann Tomczyk.
