Another 1-2 for Prema Powerteam

The perfect FIA Formula 3 Championship weekend for Prema Powerteam at Zandvoort Circuit was crowned with another double victory. After Lance Stroll and Nick Cassidy triumphed in the Saturday’s races, Maximilian Gunther was the fastest in the final race of the weekend.

Maximilian Gunther started from pole position for the last race of the weekend in the Netherlands. The German driver did well to stay off from his teammate Nick Cassidy and David Beckmann of kfzteile24 Mucke Motorsport and earned his third win in 2016, first since April at Hungaroring.

Maximilian Gunther broke winless streak at Zandvoort

Stroll still tops the overall standings but Gunther on the 2nd place reduced the gap to 56 points. Callum Ilott still holds the 3rd place but now he is only a point ahead of Cassidy.

The next round of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship is scheduled for July 28-30 at Spa-Francorchamps.
