Beechdean AMR’s pair Andrew Howard and Jonnathan Adam will start the British GT Silverstone 500 race from pole position in the GT3 class.

Just like last year, they were the fastest in the 10-minutes Pro and Am qualifying sessions. After quite timid appereance in the free practice, they were superior when it was important. In the front row of the Sunday race they will be accompanied by Von Ryan Racing newcomers Gilles Vannelet and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs in McLaren 650S GT3.

Reigning champions and championship leaders Marco Attard and Alexander Sims (Ecurie Ecosse Powered by Black Bull) took the third, but they will have to contend maximum pit-stop handicap in the race. Triple Eight Racing duo Lee Mowle and Joe Osborne were fourth and the third starting row is reserved for Oman Racing Team cars with Daniel Lloyd and Ahmad Al Harthy and Rory Butcher with Liam Griffin.

In the GT4 class, ISSY Racing pair Oz Yusuf and Gavan Kershaw in Lotus Evora won the pole position in front of Stefan Hodgetts and Richard Williams (GPRM) while the third were Jamie Chadwick and Ross Gunn (Beechdean AMR).
