Saturday was a qualifying day with three short qualifying sessions and a hour long qualifying race. The first session was won by Audi duo of Christopher Mies and Robin Frijns but second was dominated by last week’s winner, Norbert Siedler in green Ferrari 458 Italia GT3. The third session and pole position for qualifying race was won by new championship leaders Vincent Abril and Maximilian Buhk in Bentley Continental GT3. The qualifying race was intense right from the start when Bentley got into first place and Audi of Robin Frijns made a mistake and spun off track. He managed to get back into the race but he returned a full lap behind. After that, Abril and Buhk duo was safe and won the race with precise driving and good tactics. Unfortunately for Audi, Christopher Mies finished the race on 15th spot which means that he will start tomorrow’s race from last row.

At the moment, Maxi Buhk and Vincent Abril have a 1-point advantage in championship over Vanthoor/Frijns duo. Norbert Siedler is down 14 points and still has the chance of winning drivers title if he would win tomorrow’s race and other teams had bad finishes or crash.
