Blancpain Sprint Series Moscow - qualifying

Very interesting qualifying session this morning in Moscow for fifth round of Blancpain Sprint Series. During yesterdays free practice session, first one was dominated by Ferrari and second by Audi however, the “old” Lamborghini Gallardo had second time which proved that even with new Huracan GT3 on the grid we can not forget the potential of Gallardo. That point was proved once again today when No88 Lamborghini Gallardo of Reiter Engineering was fastest and won pole position for qualifying race which will be held this afternoon just before main race (also today but later in the afternoon).

The driver Nick Catsburg was very fast with time of 1:36.976 which was fastest for all three short qualifying sessions this morning. In fact, Catsburg was only driver to achieve sub 1:37 time today so this shows how fast he really was. The second time was achieved by Audi and yesterday’s fastest driver Laurens Vanthoor will start form the third row in his Audi. The qualifying race will start at 1 pm, with the Main Race getting underway at 4 pm so stay tuned for full coverage and for full results click HERE:
