Buemi claimed pole position for London ePrix
Sebastien Buemi claimed pole position for the FIA Formula E London ePrix racing ahead of Jerome D’Ambrosio and Lucas Di Grassi.
The driver of the e.dams Renault team was four tenth times faster than the driver of the Dragon Racing team, while the member of the Audi Sport Abt team, together with Buemi, one of the title contenders, was just 0.001seconds behind D’Ambrosio. The Swiss driver also won an additional three points for his pole position in what could very important situation changer in the championship battle.
Qualifying at the front of the pack may be even more crucial than ever before; now the race will start behind the safety car after track changes were made at Turn 1.
On the bumpy and tight circuit, many of drivers struggled to find a proper rhythm, but all five drivers which mathematically could win the title finished in top six which means we could see a very interesting race later today.
One driver to watch out for will be Oliver Turvey. The rookie made a good impression during the qualifying rounds, ending up in seventh place.
