Di Grassi's victory annulled

Lucas Di Grassi is disqualified from the Mexico City ePrix results because the car he used in the first half of the race was 1.8. kg under a minimal weight of 888 kg.

The Brazilian driver of ABT Schaeffler Audi Team scored his second win of the season, but his happiness didn’t last long after the result was annulled. ABT team decided not to appeal against the penalty.

D’Ambrosio is the winner of the race

This means that the winner of the Mexico City ePrix, the fifth round of the 2015-2016 FIA Formula E season, is Dragon Racing driver Jerome D’Ambrosio. Second place was awarded to e.Dams Renault driver Sebastien Buemi while his team-mate Nicolas Prost is third after Di Grassi’s exclusion.

Buemi is now on the top of the drivers standings with 98 points, Di Grassi is second with 76 and Sam Bird is third with 60 points.

Next round of Formula E championship will go on 2nd of April in Long Beach.
