Ferrari Challenge North America: Romanelli fights back in race 2

The second round of Ferrari Challenge North America finished on Sunday with a victory of The Collection’s driver Gregory Romanelli.

Saturday race winner Emmanuel Anassis was on pole position for Sunday’s event, but Romanelli in the second half of the race found a good moment to overtake the Canadian on a wet track and win the race, being at the end 1.164s faster. Just like in the first race, Carlos Kauffmann (Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale) finished third, 2.075s behind the winner.

Patrice Brisebois (Ferrari of Quebec) scored his first victory in 2016, breaking a winning streak of Jimmie Johnson. The driver of Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale dealership had to settle at third in the race 2 at Sonoma while Arthur Romanelli was second, finishing only 0.3s behind the Brisebois.

Coppa Shell

The outcome of the race 2 in Coppa Shell class was the same as it was on Saturday. Joe Courtney (Miller Motorcars) scored another win, leaving Chris Cagnazzi (Ferrari of Long Island) on second and Rob Hodes (Ferrari of Newport Beach) on the third position.
