“I’d love to return for the right deal. It is unlikely, but who knows?” said 51-year-old Menu who now works as a driver coach for rookie Gregoire Demoustier, the driver of the Craft Bamboo team.

“I was asked to help Gregoire with the learning curve of racing a front wheel drive touring car. I attended his test at Paul Ricard circuit, it went well and we got on well,” answered Menu when asked what his current duty is.

Alain Menu raced in the WTCC from 2005 to 2012 and occupied third place on the all-time list of the WTCC race winners with 23 victories. He also competed in DTM, Porsche Supercup, American Le Mans Series and also was a two-time BTCC champion.
