F2 and GP3 at Abu Dhabi: Final wins for Leclerc and Boccolacci

New FIA Formula 2 champion Charles Leclerc (Prema Racing) closed a season with a victory in the sprint race of the season’s finale a Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. It’s his seventh win of the season.

Alexander Albon (ART Grand Prix) and Nicholas Latifi (DAMS) completed a podium. Other points scorers are Nobuharu Matsushita, Luca Ghiotto, Artem Markelov, Oliver Rowland and Sergio Sette Camara. Jordan King, who started from podium at reversed grid, didn’t finish the race.

The race was decisive in a fight for the Teams’ title. Russian Time finished the season with fifteen points more than Prema Racing, with DAMS in the third place.

In the GP3 Series finale, Dorian Boccolacci (Trident) finally grabbed his maiden victory in Sunday’s Sprint race. He won ahead of teammate Ryan Tveter and DAMS driver Daniel Ticktum.

New GP3 Series champion George Russell finished in the fourth place. Other points scorers are Anthoine Hubert, Arjun Maini, Kevin Jorg and Jack Aitken. One point was enough to defend second place in the championship standings, ahead of Nirei Fukuzumi, who missed to score points in both Abu Dhabi races.
