Antonio Felix da Costa joins championship-winning team DS Techeetah for the 2019-2020 FIA Formula E Championship season, to be a teammate to double FE champion Jean-Eric Vergne.

The 28-year-old Da Costa left BMW i Andretti Motorsport after three seasons with the squad, joining DS Techeetah following the departure of Andre Lotterer.

“Getting the opportunity to join a double championship-winning team in such a highly competitive motorsport category like Formula E is very rare. It was a very hard decision to leave my current position but it’s an opportunity I just couldn’t say no to and I’m very excited to join Jean-Eric and everyone at DS Techeetah,” said da Costa. He is a regular in the Formula E since the inaugural season (2014-2015), scoring two victories since then. His best season was 2018-2019 when he finished sixth in the points.

Another Formula E team that announced a new driver is all-American squad Geox Dragon, choosing Swiss racer Nico Müller as a teammate to New Zealander Brendon Hartley.

Nico Müller drives for Audi in the DTM since 2014. Parallel to his DTM duties, he worked as test and reserve driver for the Audi Abt Schaeffler squad for the past two seasons. He was the fastest driver at the Marrakesh Rookie test.

“I love street racing and I am looking forward to lining up against the best guys out there. Formula E is particularly challenging, especially for a rookie, but I think we have an extremely exciting year ahead of us,” said Muller.
