At the start of the race, grid positions were the same as in the championship standings, but Nyck de Vries had a best start and jumped to the lead, in front of Egor Orudzhev (Arden Motorsport). Race was interrupted with a Safety car period in the opening lap after Nikita Zlobin (Pons Racing) got stuck in the gravel. Dean Stoneman (DAMS) was also forced to retire after contact with Alfonso Celis Jr. (AVF), who retired a few laps later. After the restart, De Vries and Orudzhev remained in front.

Vaxiviere and Orudzhev had a contact which caused a puncture on Orudzhev’s car. Through the obligatory pit-stops, Rowland overtook Vaxiviere and set the order which wasn’t changed until the end. Other points scorers are Tio Ellinas (Strakka Racing), Gustav Malja (Strakka Racing), Tom Dillmann (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin), Egor Orudzhev (Arden Motorsport), Jazeman Jaafar (Fortec Motorsports), Sean Gelael (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) and Nicholas Latifi (Arden Motorsport).
