French driver Nicolas Lapierre has joined Dragon Speed for the 2016 European Le Mans series.

Proven quality

31-year-old Lapierre has a lot of experience in endurance racing as he spent three years with the Toyota factory LMP1 team and scored six victories, before leaving the team at the end of 2014.

During 2015, Lapierre competed in various series. In the World Endurance Championship, as a member of KCMG team, he won the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finished second at 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas, and was third at 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, driving an Oreca 05.

At the end of the 2015 season, he competed in the last three rounds of the World Touring Cars Championship, driving Lada Sport’s Vesta, and his best result was 8th place in Race 2 in Japan.
