Marc Coleselli Wins Premier Audi Sport TT Cup Race
Audi Sport TT Cup today had a premiere as a part of the DTM Festival at Hockenheimring. A total of 24 drivers showed their skill and showcased the racing abilities of the new 310-hp Audi TT. There were 18 permanent entrants and six guest drivers on the grid, including rallycross stars Tanner Foust and Toomas Heikkinen.
The first race was won by the Austrian Marc Coleselli. The 21-year-old from Salzburg won the 13-lap round ahead of Nicolaj Møller Madsen (Denmark), who started as pole-sitter. The first podium in the 2015 season was completed by German Dennis Marschall.
Jan Kisiel from Poland managed a strong fourth place. Rallycross stars Foust and Heikkinen are attracting special attention. Round one of this duel was won by Foust, who deserved fifth place while Heikkinen managed the 13th spot.
The Audi TT drivers will be back tomorrow for another 13-lap race. Round two of the Audi Sport TT Cup will start on Sunday at 9.40. The race will be broadcast by live streaming on www.audimedia.tv. As was the case today, Nicolaj Møller Madsen will start from pole position.
