McLaren change its livery

McLaren-Honda team will change its livery after four rounds of Formula 1 2015 season.

On Tuesday it is officialy confirmed that the colors of the MP4-30’s will be changed for Spanish Grand Prix which is scheduled for this weekend. The chrome-silver look of the car caused a few problems in sunlight, due to reflection, and the team’s spokesperson explained that:

“We want to improve visual impact of the car, so we changed our car’s livery optimizing it not just for bright sunshine but also for the floodlights increasingly used in the night races. The result is predatory, dynamic graphite-grey coloration with McLaren dayglo ’Speedmarks’ and keylines, which reduces the reflection issues caused by our latest chrome-silver treatment“.

It’s just another step in the McLaren’s refreshing. As we wrote earlier, team will get an upgraded power unit for the race in Spain what should bring better days after disappointing start of the season.
