Porsche Carrera Cup Germany Nurburgring - practice

The Porsche Carrera Cup Germany Nurburgring weekend has just begun with an hour-long free practice session. Twenty two drivers have gathered on the famous Nurburgring circuit for a penultimate round of this year’s Carrera Cup Germany championship. The championship title has already been decided and 2015 PCCG champion is Austrian ace Philipp Eng but the battle is still open for second and third place in overall standings. Without the pressure of winning, Eng had comfortable 5th time on today’s practice. This don’t mean that he was slow, because the difference between 1st time of Christian Engelhart (1:30.367) and 5th time of Philipp Eng (1.30.675) was just 0.308s! Because the grid was full of top notch Porsche 991 GT3 Cup drivers with equal cars the times were very close and this time 15 drivers had times in 1 second which was frankly amazing. The talented Ben Baker had problems with the pneumatic switching compressor and his car was stuck in fifth gear so his time was very bad and his practice session was very short.
