Formula 1 team Red Bull officially confirmed the termination of cooperation with Infiniti, one of the team’s long-term partners.

This decision is connected with a contract for the supply of engines under Tag Heuer brand. Revised agreement exclude any marketing cooperation between Red Bull and Renault as an engine supplier, and Milton Keynes based side was forced to abandon further cooperation with Infiniti which brought 70 million dollars to the team each year from 2011 to 2015.

“Infiniti had huge contribution to the work of our team and we want to thank them. They were our title sponsor in the last three years, what enabled them to attract more attention. We wish them all the very best in the future,” said Christian Horner, Head od Red Bull Racing.

Red Bull in Formula 1 2016 season will continue to use Renault engines, but with the power unit branded TAG Heuer, after the team’s new timing partner. Their 2016 car will thus be known as the Red Bull Racing-TAG Heuer RB12.
