After Hamilton was fastest in FP1, his teammate fight back in session hold in the same time as qualifying and race will be held, so these results are much more representative than the ones from the morning session.
Gaps between Mercedes and the others again were quite big, but this time nine drivers were within a second, comparing to five in first free practice. Force India driver Sergio Perez confirmed progress with third best lap time, despite braking problems, while Carlos Sains also was forced to finish practice earlier due to engine problems.
Sebastian Vettel again was fifth, but this time behind Daniel Ricciardo. Other drivers withian a second were Daniil Kvyat, Kimi Raikkonen, Nico Hulkenberg and, surprisingly, Fernando Alonso what could mean McLaren is showing signs of improvement.
