Scholze, MRS Racing set the pace
Driving a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, Scholze was fastest with 1:27.427, while his teammate Florian Strauss had third best result with 1:27.677 completing great comeback for Nissan in ADAC GT Masters series. Second best time (1:27.494) has achieved Harald Proczyk in Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 of the newcoming team HP Racing.
Nine more drivers were below second behind of Scholze which says we could expect very close competition in the first races of the season.
Jens Klingman of Schubert Motorsport was fourth leaving C.Abt Racing duo Jordan Lee Pepper and Christer Jons at fifth and sixth place, while the “Number one” of C.Abt Racing Audis, with last season champion Kelvin van der Linde behind the wheel, had a bad day finishing 19th after driving only six laps. Actually, it was worst result because Jakub Knoll of Senkyr Motorsport failed to make a single lap.
Second Free Practice of the day at Oschersleben is scheduled for 13:15 CET.
