Polestar Cyan Racing Team has completed tests of Volvo S60 with which will enter 2016 WTCC campaign.

With three factory drivers – Ted Bjork, Fredrik Ekblom and Robert Dahlgren – Volvo still has to confirm driver line-up for their first season in WTCC and it is expected to announce final decision before the end of 2015. Polestar Cyan Racing will enter the series with two TC1 specificated cars, but it is expected that in 2017 team will expand to three or even four cars.

“The car looking promising. Comparing to the first test, we got some results of improvement, but it is too early to make conclusions,” said Bjork.

Team manager Fredrik Valen said that the improvement of Volvo S60 is going as it was planned:

“We were able to complete the entire test programme and passed it without any major problems. Tests have provided us with valuable information. Our software development is at the primary level, because we are now just creating the basis for competing in WTCC. Most of improvements will be made later, but the beginning of test programme has turned out as a success.”
