Weishaupt/Jons on the top at FP2

C.Abt Racing’s Audi R8 LMS ultra, driven by Andreas Weishaupt and Christer Jons, was the fastest at second Free Practice of ADAC GT Masters weekend at Oschersleben Motorsport Arena.

After not so convincing performance in the first Free Practice, C.Abt Racing team should be much more happier after their car #3 achieved a lap time of 1:27.763. MRS GT-Racing also must be happy after their #23 Nissan with Marc Gassner and Florian Strauss had a second best result (1:27.825) and finished in front of HP Racing’s #42 Mercedes driven by Harald Proczyk and Andreas Simonsen (1:28.022).

Both Bentley Team HTP’s  Continental GT3s were solid in this outing managing 4th (Stolz/Bleekemolen) and 5th (Hamprecht/Schmid), while C.Abt Racing #2 with Nicki Thiim and Jordan Lee Pepper was sixth of 17 cars participated at FP2.

As in the first Free Practice, gap between 1st and 11th was less than one second, so it is expected even more excitement for the Qualifying scheduled for 16.55 CET.
