Williams does not rule out entering Formula E

Williams F1 team is still interested to join Formula E in which it is currently present as a battery supplier.

Those batteries were awarded a Frederic Simms medal, granted by Royal Automobile Club of Great Britain for the contribution in the area of electric technologies.

Claire Williams, team’s deputy chief, said that the idea of joining Formula E championship exists, but she can’t tell when or will it even be realized.

“We don’t want to harm our work in in Formula 1 creating a team in another series, but it is obvious that we do not reject the idea of joining Formula E in the future. For now, we are focused exclusively on performances in Formula 1,” said Claire Williams.

It is known that the supply of batteries in EF Williams brings about 5-10% of operating revenue. The main income of the company associated with the program in Formula 1.
