Supercar Releases You Have to Check Out
It’s safe to say that all car lovers have at least some interest in the supercar world. Whether it’s because of the elegance, the power, or the exclusivity surrounding the market, there is certainly a lot that can hold your attention. Manufacturers of these supercars are in constant competition with each other to develop the most powerful attention-grabbing machines, and this leads to some very interesting developments. Here are some supercar projects that should appeal to all car lovers – you should certainly check them out if given the opportunity!
Lamborghini Sián FKP 37
Sián is Italian for lightning, and that should give you a hint of what to expect. The Sián is a revolutionary new product being launched by the illustrious manufacturer Lamborghini. This is their first foray into a hybrid-electric system, with an impressive V12 engine as its main power source, paired with an electric system that was designed by MIT scientists. This is a groundbreaking project from the legendary manufacturer, and the beginning of a trend we could be seeing more of.
Of course, visually the Sián is everything you would expect from a Lamborghini, with the razor-sharp edges and futuristic design that the company has been pushing towards in recent years. It has been listed as having 0-60 in 2.8 sec performance, with a top speed of 218 mph. Unfortunately, this is not exactly a mass-produced release, with only 63 models planned and all of these are already preordered.
Evantra Millecavalli R (Special Edition)
For the upcoming release of Millecavalli’s new project, they went with an unorthodox way of funding it and getting customers involved. Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology have been rapidly merging with every major industry lately and the world of supercars is no exception. Token offerings and NFTs or non-fungible tokens are all the rage right now, and more people are becoming interested in blockchain technology overall. The supercar manufacturer Mazzanti is taking advantage of this growing interest. They are launching Mazzanti tokens (MZZ) to fund the production of their new “hypercar,” a special edition of the Evantra Millecavalli R.
Millecavalli have been operating for more than 20 years and are well-known for their “one of a kind” luxury vehicles that are often sold direct to collectors. While the details of this special edition Evantra Millecavalli R have not been released yet, we can expect a more stylized and powerful version of the original. The Evantra has a 7.2 L V8 bi-turbo engine that can reach an astounding 1000 hp, going from 0-60 in just 2.7 seconds and topping out at 250 mph. You can see this beauty in action below.
Mercedes-AMG Project One
This upcoming Project One has been called the “closest thing to Lewis Hamilton’s F1 car,” and we know that the pound-for-pound great only drives the best that Mercedes-AMG can develop. These comparisons come from the engine, a 1.6-liter single-turbo V6, the same found in his machine. Mercedes is a promising acceleration of 0-124mph in under 6 seconds, and a top speed of around 220 mph. After a series of delays, Project One is due to release this year. Only 275 units will be made, and the expected price will be $2,653,000.
Aston Martin Vanquish
We were treated to our first glimpse of the new Aston Martin Vanquish in the form of the concept car Aston Martin Vanquish Vision back in 2019 at the Geneva Auto Show. This car doesn’t aim to break records, but stand its own next to competitors like the Ferrari F8 Tributo, or the Lamborghini Huracán. This mid-engine ride will share a lot of similarities with the upcoming Aston Martin Valhalla and Valkyrie hypercars, but luckily it won’t be produced on a limited run or cost millions. In fact, the price tag is planned to be $300,000, making it the most affordable of this list. This is a car that is aimed at having a wide appeal and being available to everyone, but comes with the fantastic Aston Martin luxury and reputation. The engine is located behind the driver, and is said to have 700 horsepower. There is a lot to be excited about, but this car isn’t set to debut until 2024.
