After winning the 2015 DTM Manufacturers title, BMW decided to keep the same drivers line-up, but also decided to make a rotation between the teams.

Timo Glock, Augusto Farfus and Maxime Martin will be changing teams for the first time in their DTM careers. The Belgian, Maxime Martin moves to the BMW Team RBM where his partner will be another young gun, Tom Blomqvist. The Brazilian driver Augusto Farfus left RBM after four years to join BMW Team MTEK and Bruno Spengler, while the German, Timo Glock goes to BMW Team RMG to join the former champion Marco Wittmann.

Only BMW Team Schnitzer’s pair of drivers remained unchanged, with Antonio Felix da Costa and Martin Tomczyk in the seats of BMW M4 DTM.

Good experience

“It has always been part of our philosophy to create new impulses by systematically varying the line-ups within our four teams and thus get the maximum out of our overall package. We have had very good experiences in this regard,” BMW’s motorsport director Jens Marquardt says.
