Suzuka Circuit will host the great finale of the 2015 Japanese Championship Super Formula this weekend. The 14th JAF Grand Prix Suzuka is the only round of the championship with two races, so more points are up for grabs than usual. It will be important in the championship fight because four drivers still have a chance to take the title.

Championship leader is Hiroaki Ishiura (P.Mu/Cerumo Inging) with 45 points from six races. In the previous round at the Sportsland Sugo Petronas Team Tom’s secured this year’s Team Championship. Their two drivers are still in the game for the Driver’s Championship – Kazuki Nakajima lies on the 2nd position with 39 points and Andre Lotterer is 3rd with 31 points. Joao Paulo Lima de Oliveira (Lenovo Team Impul) also collected 31 points. In last two races maximum award is 9 points in each race (8 for victory and 1 point for pole position) so we can only predict that the chase for winning trophy will be unpredictible.

19 drivers are in the entry list, 12 from Japan and seven from six other countries. Ishiura and Lotterer have two victories in 2015 season, Nakajima and De Oliveira each has won once. Four more drivers scored podium places in this season – Kamui Kobayashi, Naoki Yamamoto, Tomoki Nojiri and Narain Karthikeyan, so they are also capable to interfere between title contenders.
