Lopez looks for other options

Double WTCC champion Jose Maria Lopez said he has few ideas where he can continue his career when Citroen leave the series after the end of next season.

Argentinian ace said he hardly can imagine staying in the WTCC when French manufacturer leaves the competition, so he is already thinking about new possibilities.

“I would like to stay with Citroen, but WRC is not my cup of tea. It will be a sad moment when I leave the team, but I am looking for a possibility to take a part at 24 Hours of Le Mans. I like it so much and maybe there will be a chance to get some experience this year. In 2017 I probably get a chance in prototype class,” said Lopez.

DTM is fantastic

Another competition which looks like attractive to Lopez is German DTM.

“That’s a fantastic championship and I love it very much, but I can’t say anything about possible move to DTM. I am looking for options and I want to stay in Europe. That’s why I can’t completely rule out stay in the WTCC, but in this moment I hardly can imagine that,” concluded Jose Maria Lopez.
