Super Formula race at Autopolis cancelled due to rain and fog
The Super Formula race at Autopolis, planned for today, has been cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. The heavy rain and fog prevented nineteen drivers to race for the second time this year.
Team Impul’s Ryo Hirakawa, who was the fastest in yesterday’s qualifying ahead of Tomoki Nojiri and Nobuharu Matsushita, picks up one championship point for his performance. Because of the 3-place grid penalty from the previous race, Hirakawa was supposed to start from P4.
The third round of the 2018 Japanese Super Formula Championship is scheduled for May 27-27 at Sportsland Sugo.
