R-Motorsport signs Di Resta, Dennis for Aston Martin's debut in the DTM
Paul di Resta and Jake Dennis have been chosen as the first two drivers of R-Motorsport team in the DTM and the representatives of Aston Martin in a debut season for the British brand in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. For Paul di Resta, the 2019 DTM season would be his tenth season in the DTM while Jake Dennis is a rookie.
The 32-year-old Scotsman made a debut in the DTM back in 2007, driving a Mercedes C-Class for HWA Team and taking the championship title in 2010. After that, Di Resta served as Force India’s F1 driver from 2011 to 2013, returning to Mercedes DTM squad in 2014. His best result in the period from 2014 to 2018 was the third place in the final standings last year.

The 23-year-old Jake Dennis will make his DTM debut after two seasons in GT racing, first with Audi and then with R-Motorsport’s Aston Martin Vantage in last year’s Blancpain GT Series. In 2019, he successfuly started a season with R-Motorsport by finishing second at Bathurst 12 Hour.
“Getting into the DTM is a big step in my career. I’m really up for the challenge, and I know I have to prove myself in thiscompetition. I’m really looking forward to developing as a driver – DTM is the perfect place for me to learn,” Jake Dennis commented.
