Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup: Norris and Scott winners at Red Bull Ring
Lando Norris (Josef Kaufmann Racing) and Harrison Scott (AVF by Adrian Valles) are the winners of two races of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup at Red Bull Ring. Max Defourny (R-ace GP) was second in both races.
For Norris it was the fourth victory this season and 16-year-old British driver extended his lead in the championship standings. For Scott, the triumph in Spielberg is second win of the season, after his victory at Monza, and he is now third in the points, behind Max Defourny.
The exciting fight between Norris and Defourny marked the Saturday’s Race 1. Norris started from pole position but during the 18-lap race the two youngsters swapped the lead on several occasions. Jehan Daruvala, who started from the front row, lost few place and finished fifth. Ferdinand Habsburg, who started from fifth, managed to reach his first podium, ahead of Harrison Scott.
Scott was the fastest qualifier for the Sunday’s Race 2. He led from start to finish and crossed the finish line with 0.456sec gap over Max Defourny. Norris was furher five seconds back and he finished third, collecting valuable points for his championship lead.
