ADAC GT Masters: Double triumph for Team Zakspeed at Sachsenring
Luca Stolz takes his first ADAC GT Masters win of the season by the last-lap move today in the second race of the sixth championship round at Sachsenring circuit. Stolz and his co-driver Luca Ludwig won in the #21 Team Zakspeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 ahead of teammates Nicolai Sylvest and Yelmer Buurman in the #20 Mercedes.
Buurman started from pole and handed a lead to Sylvest, who lost a lead on the last lap, finishing in the second place for the second race in a row, after he was in the same place in yesterday’s race.

First win in 2017 for #21 Mercedes
Mercedes scored 1-2-3-4 result in the second race at Sachsenring as BWT Mücke Motorsport’s Sebastian Asch and Edoardo Mortara finished third in the #26 car while HTP Motorsport’s Patrick Assenheimer and Maximilian Gotz finished fourth in the #84 car. Montaplast by Land Motorsport’s Jeffrey Schmidt and Christopher Haase finished fifth in the #2 Audi R8 LMS as the best non-Mercedes crew.
Philipp Eng and Nick Catsburg bring the #42 Team Schnitzer’s BMW M6 GT3 to sixth place. That result secured eight points to Philipp Eng and he closes a gap behind championship leader Jules Gounon, who retired in the #77 Callaway Competition Corvette on lap 25. Ahead of season’s finale at Hockenheimring, Gounon leads with 20-point advantage (129:109).
